Forensic analysis

Ramboll has extensive experience using forensic analysis to assist clients in identifying the relative contributions of various potential sources to PFAS detected in the environment as a key element in liability assessments, apportionment, and allocation of costs and liabilities. This work has included:

• Evaluation of historical and operational records, including operational history reconstruction and supply chain evaluations
• Chemical fingerprinting, including multivariate statistical analyses to distinguish between multiple sources
• Evaluation of region-specific and site-specific anthropogenic background concentrations
• Chemical fate and transport evaluation and environmental modeling in air, stormwater and groundwater
