Discover what inspires Evelina Gunnarsson in driving sustainable behaviour change in her work as a behavioural economist and management consultant at Ramboll.
At Ramboll, Evelina is putting her ambitions of creating societal impact into action. While her focus is on a bigger global picture, she draws her inspiration closer to home, from her young daughter. “Society is my client, so to say, but I always have my daughter in mind. I would like to leave this planet better for my daughter and all the people around the globe”, she says.
“We have the best of intentions, but we are not able to translate them into actual behaviour. That’s where I come in”
Evelina works to ensure that clients are equipped with the tools, strategies, and insights they need to succeed. As a Behavioural Economist, she focuses on human behaviour and the disconnect between our intentions and actions. The challenge, as she sees it, is to achieve sustainable behaviour change. She believes, “We have the best of intentions, but we are not able to translate them into actual behaviour. That’s where I come in”.
Identifying the behaviours that we wish to change, and then analysing and measuring the changed effect, Evelina believes we can make a big impact. She states, “It doesn’t matter if we have the latest technology or if we have the infrastructure in place. What matters is that we change our behaviours. To do so, it is essential that we make sustainable options that are more accessible and easier to adopt, so that everyone can take part in creating a sustainable future”.
“At Ramboll, you’re surrounded by people who want to make a change. That inspires me every day to see what kind of impact we can create together”
Working at Ramboll, Evelina finds aspiration in her colleagues and the possibilities for continued growth and development in her career. “There is an expert for everything”, she remarks. “You’re surrounded by people who want to make a change. From the day I started here, I’ve never ceased to learn and develop. That inspires me every day to see what kind of impact we can create together”.
